36 of 37 people found the following review helpful. 50 Adorable Fan Favorites from Hannah Lynn – printed on one side of page By iiiireader [[VIDEOID:2cd70e615f24e03ac8005b3e0197df93]]This is such a cute book of girly-girl designs. There are 50 different designs, each with its own cute big-eyed girl. Some of the girls reflect fantasy and some are just cute girls. Each and every one of them is a fantastic opportunity to play with color and to style the design your own special way. I believe this is the first time Hannah Lynn has had a book of designs available in book form. The others that I have were purchased directly and were not books. This grouping is the top 50 fan favorites – so the best of the best (at least thus far!)At the front of the book, there are thumbnails that show you the pictures in order and also what their names are. I think this is a great way of doing a table of contents and I really appreciate that the names aren't printed on the design page. If I choose to put them there, this will give me an opportunity to do it my way.The book is printed on one side of thin but nice grade white paper. The pages are not perforated but the artist has put a double frame around each design with enough room so you can cut a page out without damaging the design. The binding is glued rather than sewn and I was able to break the spine enough to get the book to lay fairly flat to make coloring while leaving the page in the book a little easier.All of my markers bled through the paper. All of my gel pens left a shadow on the backside of the page. My coloring pencils worked really well with this paper as it is nicer than basic grade. If you want to use markers or gel pens, I suggest putting a heavyweight paper behind the page you are working on to keep the ink from seeping further into the book. As the back of the page is blank, you won't be ruining another design.

Regardless of what others have said about paper quality(she stated in the beginning of the book to protect from bleed through, etc.!), there isn't anything I don't like about it. This is a thick book full of beautiful work. I love some of the thick lines, too, and how some designs aren't as intricate as others. I think it's cute how, in the front, she has a page with a list of the girls and titles/names for them. It gives them "character". As a mom of three boys, I'm going to enjoy coloring in this book full of girls!

They are quirky and fun to do. The single sided allow you to use markers without fear of ruining other pages this is a book I would actually buy again to colour different versions.A absolute must have in your colouring book collection

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Disappointed the series is over, but sooo glad I was apart of it!!!! By Ashley So I definitely did not like this book, no I absolutely loved it!!! This was the third book in the trilogy and it featured Max, the oldest of the Shaw siblings. I could not put this book down from page one and I got so lost in the book I finished it after only a few hours. Ya, I was totally possessed while reading this and skipped all my morning housework. Oops! I won't give any spoilers away cuz that's just how I roll, but I will say the entire book was suspenseful and keeps you at the edge of your seat. The romance was a little less involved then the other two books but that was okay with me because both Max and Gianni kept everything close to their vests. I really loved hearing Max's story and the guilt he carried, I feel that this book really tied the other two books in because things were sometimes left with me like, no tell me more right now, with the other nooks and by the end of this book everything made total sense. I do have to say I was a little disappointed as I would of loved to heard more of the other Shaw siblings, especially since throughout the first two there was sibling interactions. That being said it was still a great read that I will be recommending to anyone who asks. The ending did kind of throw me because I felt as though, poof it was over and I would have loved to read more of Max and Gianni as a couple. I know this is supposed to be a trilogy series, but I would love it if Wendy would continue on maybe with Jennings himself or others who work with the Alliance. I would also definitely love the Shaw's to be integrated as well. I did receive this book as an ARC but that had no bearing on my review in any way. If anything it was a huge bonus because I got to read it already lol. With a book this good I would of easily paid five bucks. Also, does anyone here see a movie outta this or am I the only one???

Then I turned around and bough a copy.This was a really good book. Suspenseful, loads of action, some mystery and a little romance. The kind of book that you don't want to put down until the end. Then when it ends, you wish it had gone on longer.This is the final story in the trilogy. Max, the oldest, had become an assassin to protect and provide for his siblings, Sabrina and Jake. People from his past had come back seeking revenge. The first attempt on his life caused Max to interact with Gianna, an NYPD police lieutenant.Gianna's brother becomes involved. Max and Gianna have to work together to save her brother and end Max's problem. A strained relationship grows into something more over time and circumstances. No insta love in this book.I thoroughly enjoyed it and highly recommend it.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Good action adventure with a side of romance. By S. Flanagan Tis is the third book of the trilogy of the Shaw siblings. The story is about Max, the eldest sibling who suffers feelings of guilt for leading his younger siblings into a life of crime in Serbia. Max is an alpha male with quite a few tricks up his sleeve. When he teams up with a NYPD detective out to save her brother from a life of crime, the similarities between his life and hers are startling. Both had to be parental figures at too young an age and both suffer from guilt for the choices they made. The love story is very secondary in this book but it is there nonetheless. I have enjoyed all 3 books and look forward to Wendy Byrnes's next series.

It was worth it and now I will read book three. Book one was a dark psychological thriller that kept me hooked until the end, but then let me down with many unanswered questions. I didn't realize (based on reviews I read) that these answers were forthcoming in book two. This book follows on with the storyline from book one, but has a far different tone - more mystery thriller. I enjoyed following the tormented life of a marginal player from book one - but the main character here. Although this book is complete on its own, it is better to have read book one first. This story closes the loops just fine and I don't feel the need for book three as there is nothing left to really answer. But because they are such well writing suspense books, I will move on to the next.

You will start out and before you know it you are hooked. You cannot put the book down and then it is done. But like an addiction, you want more. When is the next book coming out? Why couldn’t the story keep on going?The characters in this story, and all of her books, are so well done that you not only have a book to read, but you create a movie in your mind while reading it. S. W. Hubbard is a fantastic mystery author and my only complaint is that she doesn’t churn out more of her wonderful stories.Try one and you too will be hooked!K. Davis

Hubbard By Kevin Tipple When the Patrolman before you doesn’t do his job and dumps the case on you as quick as he could, it makes your job as detective that much harder. That is the problem that Detectives Coughlin and Holzer face as they go to a house in Palmyrton, New Jersey. Brian Fanning never made it home and his wife Michele called 9-1-1 in a panic earlier today.What little they have gotten from the Patrolman Danneman does not sound good. Considering what he found, Patrolman Danning may have made a very wise choice in handing the case over to the detectives. One always starts with the spouse and that is what Detectives Coughlin and Holzer will do in Blind Eye: A Short Story Prequel.Also included in this e-book is chapter one of Another Man’s Treasure, Book 1 in the Palmyrton Estate Sale Mystery Series featuring Detective Sean Coughlin.This approximately twenty pages short story is an interesting mystery tale with a couple of twists and turns. A fast read it is entertaining and serves as a nice set up for the first book of the series.According to the gods at Amazon I picked this up in early April 2015. Hubbard gets us ready for another page-turner. In past works, this author has produced characters that you want to get to know even better. For me, it is always bittersweet when the book ends. I am pleased that I finally have answers to all my questions, but sad to say goodbye to the characters. I anxiously look forward to the next book so I can say, "Hello," again and watch the adventure continue. I am anxious to get to know the characters in this new series and see what adventures they will take me on. Thanks for another great book, Susan!

Craig has created an interesting couple who just happen to be good at finding trouble and solving the puzzle. The Watsons are very likable and realistically drawn. They even manage to keep on the good side of the police. One thing interesting plot piece is that the police are not bumblers which is the stereotype for amateur detective stories. The positive relationship adds a fresh touch to the story.This second novel in the series deals with the serious topic of child-selling. Children are abducted and auctioned. Some teenage girls are imported from China for less honorable sales. The bad guys are seriously unlikable even if we do not get a lot of character development. While every amateur detective story has its moments which stretch belief, the stretches here are not unreasonable, just barely believable.I enjoyed the first story. I enjoyed this story. I look forward to a nice long series of stories featuring Charlie and Jenny Watson. Craig does a good job of making this story fairly free standing so that it is not essential to read the first, but knowing the first story adds pleasure to this one.

I was thrilled when Watson Manor Unfolding was published. I truly hope this is just the beginning of a long, continuing series in the lives of Charlie and Jenny. There are many twists and turns which keep you on your toes, wondering what will happen next. I love the mix of mystery and romance and the descriptions of the places where the stories take place. I have passed both books on to friends and they have all enjoyed them as I did. Thank you Ron Craig for keeping my head in these books. Wonderful reading................

Even though this is 4th in a series and I always recommend starting with the first book, this makes a find stand-alone. There's just enough information for the reader to get a glimpse of what they've missed, but able to understand all that happens in this one.MacIntosh and her partner, Jason Santiago, are handed three cases which are related. Random men are found with their faces slashed beyond recognition and stabbed in the chest in the shape of a cross.On a personal level, MacIntosh and Santiago have come a long way from the first case they worked together. He is funny, engaging, a bit on the sarcastic side, but he has finally figured out that he loves Ellie. Ellis, on the other hand, has a live-in boyfriend which may or may not be on the verge of falling apart. She is also clueless about her partner's feelings towards her. It's great fun to listen to the two of them bantering back and forth.The murderer remains a mystery through most of the book ... and the ending is quite a surprise. I was extremely satisfied with the ending. Hopefully, there will be another in this series. I enjoy the characters tremendously.I gave it 5 stars because of the characters, all the books in this series have been well-written, and I haven't found any details not taken care of.

It's combined with suspense, romance, excitement, and right down to a chill-bone thriller. .............Faced with endless dilemmas, Milwaukee homicide detective, Ellie MacIntosh, is at a crossroad in her life. With her love life in turmoil, and someone very close to her, being ill, the last thing she wanted to hear, was another serial killer at bay. Known in her previous cases of chasing and apprehending such known killers of this nature, she is once again faced witn another, when she receives a phone call from her partner, homicide detective, Jason Santiago, that the "slasher" has struck again. As the detectives investigated, they were aware of one thing. Even though the victimology was completely the opposite, they were convinced that both cases were related. In the middle of this horror, Ellie still sees her psychiatrist, Dr. Georgia Lukens, regarding her job, and her personal life, unaware that her partner, Jason, also sees her, after getting wounded on their last case together. What Ellie doesn't know, however, is that Jason has confessed his love for Ellie, to Georgia, and has expressed his fear, in telling her. As the case becomes more eery, they are told by the M.E., that each victim, not only had rohypnol in their sytems, but were killed by two different weapons, leaving the same mark, in the shape of a cross. What is going on? When Dr. Georgia Lukens takes on a new patient, by the name of Lea, the sessions begin to unnerve her. Why? Known for his rudeness, and obnoxious behavior, detective Jason Santiago, knows two things, not stopping until he catches a killer at any cost, and most and foremost, being in love with Ellie MacIntosh. As Jason puts out the word for potential drug dealers selling rohypnol, a certain dealer is found murdered. Feeling that these murders are somewhat related, in what Lea is telling her, Georgia realizes that there is a connection to Ellie and Jason's two murder cases, that they are currently working on. Without any hesitation, whatsoever, Georgia finds a way, without violating patient confidentiality, and informs the police. As another body is found, this one more gruesome than the others, the case takes a horrible turn. With all the clues right there in front of them, and danger right before their very eyes, Jason will do whatever it takes, to protect Ellie, only there is a bigger problem that he is unaware about. With all his great instincts as an excellent cop, his love and loyalty towards his partner, he will not be able to protect himself in the process. As Ellie discovers the truth, she races against the clock, to stop a deadly serial killer, one that is more evil than she has ever faced before, but most importantly, to save Jason's life and pray that she gets to him in time, before the clock runs out..........great thriller! I loved it!...thank you...♡♡

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Another Winner! By debbiejo Kate Watterson continues her series about Detective Ellie MacIntosh and her partner, Jason Santiago. When called to the scene of a murder, they find it remarkably similar to a previous killing of a college professor. Both victims had been stabbed, their faces mutilated, and a cross carved into their chest. While they have no clue to the second man's identity and very little to go on, they work to build a case. In the meantime, therapist Georgia Lukens, is disturbed by her newest patient and seeks the help of another professional. It quickly becomes evident that her client is somehow connected to Ellie' s case but that knowledge in no way detracts from the telling of the story. It was very entertaining and delved further into Ellie' s relationship with her partner as well as her significant other. I love this series and was in no way disappointed in the latest installment. I would definitely recommend it to any fan of the suspense genre.

I have never read anything by Deanna Chase before, but when I saw this offered, and realized it was about witches, I immediately applied for consideration and was excited to get it. This is cute cozy mystery which revolves around witchcraft and the supernatural. It is a spinoff of Chase's previous series, and although I never read it, I was never completely lost. There is enough back story provided that the reader is never lost or confused. And, this book did a great job of making me want to go back and pick up previous books.I enjoyed meeting Pyper and her friends and they have a closeness which is comforting. The mystery takes place in New Orleans, which is one of my favorite settings, and adds to the ambiance of the book. Pyper is a headstrong, independent and sometimes snarky individual - all things I love in a female lead. The romance in the book is not overwhelming, and has enough of a twist that I did not find it annoying.Overall, I look forward to learning more about Pyper and her world and recommend this for anyone who likes supernatural or cozy mysteries.

By Loves to Read (A Cozy Booknook) As a fan of the Jade Calhoon series, I was excited to learn the attention grabbing, independent Pyper was getting her own book. Pyper is being targeted as the next victim of a black magic using witch, who needs her in order to complete an ancient ritual. Julius, a ghost from the 1920's who also happens to be a witch, keeps popping up wherever Pyper happens to be. They previously had a brief encounter that ended in a kiss, both are now trying to navigate their feelings towards one another amidst all the chaos going on around them. As if that isn't enough for Pyper to worry about, the gallery opening for her body painting art is fast approaching, a magazine wants to do an article on her haunted cafe, and the cafe's resident ghost is causing all sorts of hijinks. This book will draw you in right away and keep you turning the pages. There is plenty excitement, a few laughs, romance and a mystery; a little bit of something for everyone. Don't worry, this can be read as a standalone without feeling bewildered and lost. A great, enjoyable read!I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for an honest reveiw.

This is a spinoff of the Jade Calhoun Series and I was happy to see Jade and some of the other characters in this book. Pyper owns a coffee shop and getting ready for her first art exhibit and she can also see ghosts. She is looking for that perfect dress to wear for her exhibit when the owner of the dress shop ends up dead. Julius is a sexy ghost that Pyper met last Halloween and when he shows up and tells her that the killer is coming after her next. This book has romance, humor, and magic. I can’t wait until the next book in this series comes out.A Review copy was provided to me in exchange for a fair and honest review. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Enjoyable light read By Amazon Customer This was definitely light reading, continuing the adventures of Taylor and her gang in a sort-of ghost story. As in the first book they are helped by Bestet, the Egyptian goddess who appears as a black cat. Bestet is both more goddess-like and more catlike than in the first volume, definitely an improvement. I'll skip details on the plot, in part because I read the book a week ago and it's all a bit hazy (which should suggest how strong the plot is), but it's still quite readable.

Great story with interesting historical references By JameyLynn Destiny by David Wood and Sean Ellis is the start of a new series, the Myrmidon Files, which has grown from his Dane Maddock series.This is a fast action, save the world story. The US has a new group of warriors. Their mission is to foil the plans of the Dominion, an oligarchy who want to dominate the world. Team members are Tam, the leader, Greg, Kasey, and Avery, the researcher. They also acquire Stone, a genius at seeing patterns and Sievers, who has Stone in custody for hacking into government computers and stealing information. An intercepted call sends the team to Vienna to keep the Dominion from stealing the Spear of Destiny. After chasing after the spear, they realize that the Dominion was actually after a code in a certain person’s diary. The clues lead them to Chihuahua, Mexico to keep the Dominion from getting something that will help the Dominion destroy the United States. What they find is a shocking surprise.The story will touch on the willingness of people to give up freedom for safety, the hazards of social media, and on a lighter note, the lack of use of the cursive script in modern society. The players work together well. There is humor in the story to break the tension of the action.David Wood with Sean Ellis creates a great adventure along the lines of Indiana Jones and the Librarians. This is a great read for those who love adventure mixed with some history. Get in on the ground floor of the new series and get this book.

There is alot of action and history and tie ins to other books. Maddock and Bones are my favorites but I will enjoy reading this series as well. If the book your looking at says David Wood at the top and you like adventure just buy it you wont regret it.

First of Myrmidon Series By Vicki Roeder David Wood and Sean Ellis created a great book of history and fiction woven together, and the first glimpse into “Myrmidon”, created by Tam Broderick, on the fight against the Dominion.However, the story spotlighted and centered on a new character: a “look for patterns” genius, Gavin Stone who is incredible boring, dry and falls flat on being likable. A one-man show who is always right, always have the answers, always have a plan (without telling anyone of it) and always appearing out of thin air to 'save the day.' (*rolling of the eyes again*) So why even have other characters, (besides tagging along for the ride)? Ah, to showcase how brilliant Stone is, of course.What kept me reading is Sievers, a real “MacGyver “type (and who by the way is the only ‘supporting’ character who had a few inputs that Stone actually agreed with). The story also gave answers to the cliffhanger between Dane and Angel at the end of Atlantis (unless I missed the next book?) That alone made it worth reading.

To give you some background, I homeschool and expect my children to study Shakespeare during high school. They don't always enjoy Shakespeare study - to say the least. This book has been a lifesaver to them. Each of Shakespeare's plays is covered - the major themes, and overview of the plot, character descriptions and synopses of the plays scene by scene (plus some.) Think CliffsNotes, but way cooler.The Shakespeare Book is highly informative, yet very visual. Reading visually interesting text is very important for one of my children. I especially love that images from history and/or movie adaptations of the plays are included to give context and build understanding. The timelines of each play act by act with image cues are extremely helpful, too. Oh, and the graphic organizers they use to "see" the plot are fabulous!As the title states, big ideas ARE simply explained. My kids are understanding Shakespeare's play so much better now that we're using this book. Plus, they're getting so much more behind-the-scenes info - like what life was like during the time period or how certain actors chose to portray their characters in modern day adaptations. I'm telling ya, this book is chock full...without overwhelming my children.I should mention, there is also a nice biography of Shakespeare's life in the beginning of the book and a timeline of each play written during the various phases of his career: when he was a freelance writer, as a shareholder in Lord's Chamberlain's theater company, and when his company was given a royal patent by by King James. Throughout the book, you really get to know Shakespeare, the man behind the masterpieces, as much as you get to know his plays.I'm loving every part of this book and how it's deepening our understanding of Shakespeare and his works!

It gave a simple overview, so when reading the original plays I stayed on track with the material. I bought it for Kindle, in the future I'm going to buy books like this in a physical form, as Kindle doesn't lend itself to such formats as well as it does to novels.

By BarnKat14 For anyone who is interested in a good general knowledge of Shakespeare's works, this is the book to buy. Well-organized, it begins with a brief biography of Shakespeare's life, followed by a chapter for each of his major plays or sonnets. The main characters are listed, along with a synopsis of the play and a timeline of events. Famous quotes are included, as well as a history of the play's performances. I am a huge fan of DK books, and this one does not disappoint.

Can't get enough of this series By T London I loved this story and I am dying for the final book in the series, but this one felt like the much-needed transitional part of Anna’s life. While I wasn’t captivated and glued to each and every page, the ending in book four had me more torn up than any of the others in this series. So go in knowing that you won’t turn the first page and be thinking life is going to go on without me while I read this book, instead absorb this, and be grateful for the break in the drama and then buckle up for the cliff hanger.Alex has been gone for two years and during this time Devin has kept Anna drugged and out of touch with reality. Devin has continued his ceremonial parade to take over the country, maybe even the world according to him, by using her power. There is a complicated system that he has developed that allows him to drain her of her strength, use that power for his agenda and then she is refilled by someone else. I will let you see how that works when you read the book, but by keeping her at his mercy and in complete submission to him, there is nothing to stop him.At one point in the story Anna is left alone, with only Devin to please. He had run Alex’s brother and father off, her friends had either moved or married and went on with their life. The story started to shift when the Russian dancer came to the company. She fought against his attention because he is related to the reason Alex is gone. Later she learns that Devin arranged for this new relationship to form between them, meaning he still had control over her life and who she associated with. By now I was just beginning to think we were going to have nothing but Devin in control, her being used for sex and the ceremonies continuing till finally she would be allowed to die, but Marissa started making the shift in the story at this point.Strange conversations began to be had among people, events and actions that people don’t fully understand but we can see a plan brewing that will hopefully free Anna from Devin’s power. I found myself having to stop reading at a few points to control the nerves I was feeling and sort out my wild thoughts as to what was going to happen? At one point I even wondered if Alex would make a surprise appearance even though he was dead. This is how insane this story has made me.We find heroes in places we never expected and the cliff hanger in this book is by far the most intense I have read in this series. I have always been sad when a book in this series is over and I’d want the next book right away, but this one had me contemplating begging the author for a hint as to what happens next. Wild, this ending was wild and so many answers to the questions I had were found, BUT along with those answers came a host of new questions that I have to wait for in book five.You must read each book in order or you will never be able to fully appreciate this story. As excited as I am for the last book to come out, there is also a sadness that Anna’s story will be over once and for all and I am not sure I am ready to let her go. Go grab your copies of this series now and be prepared for a dark and evil ride into the life of Devin, Anna and Alex. It is not for the faint of heart, but if you love the dark mind twisting books, you will treasure this series.

This book is by far one of the darkest in the series! I didn't think it was even possible to hate Devin any more than I already had but guess what, I hate him even more!!! Thank god there isn't an actual face to go with his name (thank you Marissa for not doing a cover with his face) or I swear I would hunt that person down!! Were still left wondering about poor Alex..... I'm secretly praying that he is alive and Marissa is just making us wait for him to return. If he doesn't return I have no clue what will happen to poor Anna.... I will say please don't read this book if you haven't read the first 3. You will be lost! Also this story isn't for everyone. There are no hearts and flowers in the first 4 books, but Marissa promises us a HEA in book 5! She better deliver or she will need to be in author protection program! I have never read a series that had me on pins and needles the entire time.
