I just discovered hidden treasure! Yep, I definitely struck gold when I found Hunted, Book One of the Tiger Billionaire Series by Suki Selborne and it totally rocked my world. Be forewarned folks, this is a series with multiple novellas and, dare I say it, cliffhangers, but there is nothing I love more than a good nail biting, edge of your seat, white knuckle, how will this end, cliffhanger! Oh my! And Selborne delivers in spades! This is my very first time reading Selborne's work but it most assuredly, won't be my last. The story is exciting, thrilling, fast paced, suspenseful, compelling, romantic, arousing, sensual, dreamy and oh so hot! Sigh.... The dialogue is smart, well written and flows beautifully. The characters are captivating, fascinating, compelling, engaging and sexy as sin. Ouu..La..La! These are only a few of the words that came to mind while I was reading this story. Selborne brilliantly combines these elements into a wonderful, easy to follow, paranormal chronicle filled to the brim with excitement, action, adventure, passion and romance. Curvaceous, temporary administrative assistant Finola Malley is having one of the worst days in her entire life. Yep, a real crappy day! She just broke up with her boyfriend Wayne who never really appreciated her or her curves. She was called back into work to assist a man she's never even met, the CEO of Pallida Fortis Bank, an international investment firm - on a Friday evening. Then she was attacked and assaulted by three men, held at knife point, almost kidnapped, had her car stolen and very nearly eaten by a ferocious white tiger; and all this happened in the bank parking garage. Oh my gracious! And if all that wasn't enough, she's just crashed into an incredible sexy but totally naked man in the bank lobby! What the heck? Could her day get any worse? We all know the answer to that question - Yes! Our girl, Finola, is having a craptastic day until she meets Sebastion. Some dudes attack her and It seems like she is about to get killed, but there's more to who she is than even she was led to believe. There is some hot, hot stuff going down, but then a twist that keeps getting more twisted changes the story line. The characters in this story are well developed. The story itself it just now heating up! The foreshadowing is leading me to think that I have an idea about where it's going, but I really need to find out! I loved how suspenseful the story is so far, how much I think I understand Finola's character and what I think she might be up against. The authors did a great job of creating a story that could walk on its own and leads the reader straight to the next part! I am totally recommending this book to my friends and random strangers to read!

With his being said here is my honest review.A very easy and engrossing read. It will keep you wanting and craving more. It starts off with our main heroine Finola having a very bad night out, when an unexpected call comes in from work saying she is needed ASAP. So her crappy night takes a dangerous turn.This is when the hero comes sweeping in but not at all what she could have imagined. After her escape of danger she stumbles upon a a man sexier then even her imagination could dream up. Things get hot and heavy and oh wow is it hot. Leave you wanting and craving more and begging for the next book.If you love hot and sexy shifters with a BBW then this is a book for you!!!!

Collins Jane Bolitho understands the cornish people and gives the user a taste of what life is like living in the small towns of Cornwall. Her characters are both charming and complex. Although her books are easy to read, it's not so easy figuring out how her stories finally unfold.

What if someone did find the boy, but then the law of unintended consequences kicked in. Couple that with my strange attraction for the phrase Deus Ex Machina, and I had a story....

By Richard and Liz Rachel has just witnessed the kidnapping of a young boy on CCTV right in her neighborhood! Heading out of her flat, she asks the police if there is anything they need help with but they just brush her off. Frustrated she heads back inside to create a new virtual person i.e anonymity for herself. Is she able to save the boy Danny? The answer is "Yes" but little does she know about the repercussions (consequences) that will follow. Who is D.E.M.? How does this unknown 'person' know all about her? Deborah, her neighbor, resides in the flat below her. She comes to the rescue Rachel when she passes out.Thinking things through, Rachel's first thought is to run but she realizes that wouldn't solve her problem. Secured in her flat with a new steel door, locks, CCTV and a brand new, best she could buy, computer is she now safe? Cameron AKA Cam, was the store assistant she met when she purchased her new computer. Dave is the store owner. Cam offered to drop it off at her flat and she soon realizes that he is very knowledgeable on the computer side of things. In fact he is a "white hat hacker" testing companies weaknesses. Wanting to keep her safe as well as having a crush on her, Cam sends her over some coding work. In the meantime Deborah is turning out to be like a sister to Rachel.Naming her stalker 'Deep Throat' it is a couple weeks before Rachel hears from he/she/it again. Via email she is given a job to do with a promised payment of a good sum of money. Will she ignore it or will curiosity get the better of her? I bet you already know the answer to that one! Rachel knows she needs Cam's help but doesn't want to put him in danger. The assignments start simple with good money but then the stakes are raised as well as the dough. Traveling is involved as well as breaking and entering. They can't refuse without paying the consequence!How is it that D.E.M. appears to know everyone they get involved? When someone they used to gain access to some files is killed, is it a coincidence? Rachel feels bad and wants to get out. Halfway through we, the readers, are clued in big time but the story does not end just goes deeper. Who is her enemy? Who is her friend?This book was an easy read with some great twists and turns. There is a lot of sexual innuendo between the characters and I wouldn't call it romance between Rachel and Cam although some might. At one point she just uses him to tire him out so that he will sleep! One of the characters is bisexual and you could say downright kinky when you figure out what that character has been up to. If you are not adverse to the "F" word then you will read it many, many times in this book. I thought the book had a weird ending. Made me think there is going to be a sequel? There were some editing errors which seemed to get worse as they book progressed. Not that bad, I have read worse, but still. Nicholson D.E.M.: Deus Ex Machina is a techno thriller by author Lee Ness.This Kindle e-book was approximately 339 printed pages and sold for $5.99 at time of writing this review.Please Note: I was provided with a free copy of this book for the purpose of writing an honest review.General Theme (minor spoilers)...Rachel and Cam, two computer geeks, find themselves thrown into the world of computer hacking that results in some staggering international implications.Some thoughts on "D.E.M."...The Pros:1.) a potentially interesting, story line.2.) a plot that has much deeper implications than it initially appears.3.) an element of young romance.4.) some intense action, especially towards the end.5.) cover art... a beautiful and eye catching image.The Cons:1.) I thought of the main characters were 'immature' in both actions and most conversations2.) I never really understood how Rachel help the missing boy at the beginning.3.) dialogue that had an element of constant sexual innuendoes throughout the entire book... this became somewhat tiresome after a while.4.) the 'unknown' element was fairly obvious from the start.Impressions:While this book tweaked my interests at the beginning, it did not live up to my expectations as I progressed through it. Mainly because of the immature characters and the constant sexual bantering theme that seemed to intrude into nearly all conversations. It alternates slam-bang action scenes with slow, brooding mystery. The action scenes are great, fast moving, exciting, clear, well written, plausible (within the elastic conventions of thrillers) and leavened with more than a dash of humor. In particular, the description of social engineering and computer hacking is accurate without overloading the reader with technical jargon. The book begins in the middle of one such scene, and never lets the quiet stuff drag on too long.The mystery scenes are less satisfactory. For one thing, they're much too random. People act in inexplicable ways, over-reacting to minor stuff and ignoring essential stuff. A great book of this type needs constant menace just below the surface, these characters act as if they think they're playing a video game. The mystery needs to build to a climax, this plot just twists and turns aimlessly; whenever it bogs down, the author tosses in a new revelation. Looking back on the plot, it could have taken opposite turns at any number of points, there is no satisfying consistency to the story. The plot itself is quite good, both original and intriguing, but the author neglected it shamefully. He seems to have sketched it out and hung his story on it, without ever giving it coherency or support.Like the plot, the characters are well conceived, but underdeveloped. Far too much stress is placed on the protagonist, who knows the least about what's going on. This lets the author dole out regular surprises, but it destroys the interactions. The book is driven by multiple characters, including several with more influence than the protagonist, but we only learn about things filtered from a single perspective. I think the book would be improved considerably if the author allowed at least a little opposing perspective, and if he built up the protagonist to be able to handle more of the story.I give the author points for trying to use effective dialog rather than putting words in the characters' mouths that are really directed at the reader. Unfortunately the dialog, especially the sexual banter, is sophomoric and annoying. This is not Nick and Nora Charles, or even Maddie Hayes and David Addison, it's more like Tommy and Sally. On top of that the (female) protagonist is constantly hitting, punching and kicking her hapless male companion. These cease to be playful or affectionate after the first few pages and start to seem like either barely-controlled abuse or some repressed neurosis. The behavior would earn a three-year-old a trip to a psychologist, and an adult a restraining order.Overall I give this book a mild recommendation, but I think the author has considerable potential. With some more attention to plot and character, and maybe a little medication for the heroine, he could produce a top-notch thriller.

Some helpful concepts but flawed approach falls short By Craig Stephans Buford's concept of "Halftime," an arbitrary time in one's life when he or she moves from thinking about success to thinking about significance, describes an important process for people to regular go through. He advocates thinking about what is really important and then making adjustments to pursue that one thing and to subordinate all other things in life to that item. The short version of this idea is what the character Curly (Jack Parlance I think) in the movie City Slickers suggests to Billy Crystal's character. Remember him holding up his finger and saying "This one thing." Buford uses that as an example of what he is promoting in his book. He then elaborates with suggestions resembling most motivational and success-oriented types of books.The flaws in this book include the fact that Buford is continuously and overwhelmingly self congratulatory about his accomplishments, success, wealth, status, who he knows, talents, offerings, etc. Rarely does a page go by on which he does not remind us of how successful he is. I think all of his anecdotes include his success or this or that CEO friend. This undermines the message of the book, because it is off-putting and distracting, even though the author has clearly adjusted his life to help people; the emphasis on altruism is a major theme of the book. He just pats himself on the back quite often.The focus on wealth and success in the "first half" of life makes the idea of a second half seem like something only for the rich and comfortable who can make changes without making sacrifices. It also conveys a false assumption that one must pursue and gain success and wealth before shifting toward selflessness. Why not forego the first half self-centeredness and play the second half gameplan from the begining?Another flaw is the mix of self-help, psychology and theology into one. Buford is a Christian, and writes this book from a Christian perspective. Buford however is not a theologian but writes as if he is one, even calling a conflicting idea "heresy." His "theology" reflects the flawed Western approach to Christianity that equates it with the dream of success and wealth and being all one can be using God-given talents and rugged individualism. This is an approach that would make no sense to Christians in most of the rest of the world and does not find resonance in the early church. Buford too often applies worldly success and wisdom to Christianity in the pages of this book and not vice versa. I don't doubt his sincerity, but the core of Christianity is not our power, strength and wisdom; it is as Paul said "Christ crucified, the power of God and the wisdom of God. For the foolishness of God is wiser than men and the weakness of God is stronger than men." I question whether seeking significance itself is supported by Scripture which rather promotes sacrifice and service at the risk of obscurity. This theology leads to advice that I think contradicts Scriptural lessons.The epilogue to the book also confuses the issue when he imagines being asked two questions as a final exam when approaching God after death. One is what did you do about Jesus and the other is "What did you do with what I gave you to work with?" Like most of the theology in the book, this last question is taking a couple of texts out of context and building a doctrine upon them. It promotes judgement or pride, condemnation or self-righteousness. The Bible rather teaches that because Jesus died for my sins I will be welcomed into Heaven with great rejoicing--that is the message of grace not performance. But the author's message of this book is clearly that he is quite pleased with what he has done about Jesus and what he has done with his life. But according to what standard? Rather than present my works, strengths and productivity to God, I'll relax and rest in Christ's righteousness.I think the idea behind Halftime is important but the delivery is poor. I think the activities prescribed of self-evaluation and life adjustments are things we need to continually do no matter our stage or age of life. A Good Challenge to Think About Where You're Going By Michael Taylor While not the final authority, Buford has written a good book encouraging the reader to approach the second half of life as a quest for significance instead of success.Among the points covered in the book include:1. Do not allow the second half of life to be characterized by boredom, decline, and decreasing effectiveness for God's kingdom.2. A challenge to think about what you believe and to find the one most important thing in your life and build on that.3. How to continue to learn in the second half of life.4. The more you submit to Christ, the freer you become.5. Practical ways on how to regain more control over your life.6. Questions to ask and answer as you "go in to the locker" and prepare for the second half of your life.7. Find something that fits within the following 2 questions: What have you achieved? What do you care deeply about?Read and be encouraged to believe that the second half of your life need not be a time of waste or past memories!While I enjoyed the book, I believe his other book "Gameplan" is better in that it describes more practical ways how to have a productive second half.

MacLeod Killer Cruise is the third book in the series, Psychic Crystal Mystery and takes place on a cruise ship going to Bermuda as well as on that island. At first I thought it would be another adventure for Kate and Jack Hale but was pleasantly surprised when I found that it was really about Kate’s mother, Juliette Spencer and Graysville Police Chief Will Bradley.Personally, I liked the fact that this was about an older woman since I am older and can better connect in many ways. The story develops smoothly and is a solid mystery as it unfolds. There were many twists in the plot that kept me turning the page to figure out just how this story was going to end.The climax was somewhat unexpected yet satisfying when the end came. And no, I can’t reveal too much as it would spoil the story. Some things were left open and will certainly be used in future stories in this series.Overall, the writing was fresh, the plot unique and I hope to see more books with these stories in the future. I give it 4.5 stars out of 5. It’s a very good read, and I recommend it to everyone!

The woman are strong willed but stupid. Stupid because they take on killers on their own, no back-up, no one knowing where they are. The men are horrid pigs yet the women end up falling for them anyway. Maybe if the men weren't so awful I would give this author another chance. I've read a couple in this series and would not read another or recommend them to anyone.

Elegant animal design printed one sided on great heavyweight perforated paper By iiiireader [[VIDEOID:8e0c6856cd196d679d8a119730644db1]]This is a wonderful set of coloring designs by Peter Pauper Press. The various designs in this book are based on images licensed from both Bigstock and Shutterstock, so it is possible that you may have seen similar or even the exact images in other books.There are 31 animal related designs with lots of various animals including fish, birds, and mammals. The designs range from fairly easy to color to much more complex. Many of the designs have intricate components but they don't look that difficult to color provided you have ultra-fine point pens/markers/pencils. I don't know that crayons would work that well on those particular designs.The pages are a wonderful heavyweight of bright white. This is fantastic as my pencils, gel pens, and ultra fine markers (except alcohol-based markers) do not bleed through on this paper. The designs are printed on only one side with the back side left blank, so if you are using alcohol based markers or watercolors, you can put an extra page in between just in case some color leaches through. Be sure to check your particular markers/pens to see if there is any leaking for that brand.The pages are perforated and are extremely easy to remove. The paper is also acid-free which means that the paper will not turn colors with age and all the work you put into coloring the designs will be safe. Additionally, the binding easily lies flat and gives you access to make coloring in this book and easy and fun thing to do.For the most part, these designs are all new to me (though some look slightly familiar.) What is certainly different is that the grade of paper is excellent and will make it easy for me to color and enjoy without problems.

One design per page is especially nice because not all books provide this.The paper is of good quality and because the pages are perforated it was easy to share with friends. We're grown adults, but squealed like little girls to get started.I have not had colors to bleed and especially like using my gel pens. I do wish there were more pages, but overall I am very pleased and would buy it again.

By run slow, finish whenever Beautiful pictures ranging from highly detailed to those with a little more of an "elementary" feel and more open patterns. High quality paper, perforated, single-sided print. I enjoy using Staedler pens for the detailed pictures with small spaces and it comes out beautifully.

The mystery puzzle pieces were well placed and held suspense of the story from cover to cover. It was nice to settle in with Garth and Ruth again. They seem like old friends and add comfort to the reading experience, as a good series should.

The pages are double sided with the same pattern on either side, and even with using markers and gel pens there was no bleed through. Also it is very conveniently packaged as all the contents can go back in the package to take along. I bought one for myself and another as a gift.
