A pleasant travelogue By Kindle Customer Just a hint of mystery interspersed with a running commentary on the surroundings including museums, lodgings , museums, restaurants make me feel like I was there myself. I love Thubins books because they are so relaxing to read. I can interrupt at any time to handle all the things daily life requires and pick back up kind of like putting on baggy old sweats and sinking into a overstuffed recliner. The writing is excellent.and the descriptions totally believable.

I think I actually enjoy Dr. Samantha Duncan's travels as much as I do the light mysteries. I often make notes of hotels she visits (and, yes, they are usually real places) and look them up on the internet as places where I might enjoy staying when traveling. Would actually quite enjoy meeting the author, Daisy Thurbin. And if you do enjoy her books, you would quite likely enjoy her husband's writing - P. J. Thurbin.
