About the Author Michael Conner is currently serving as the Executive Director of the DC Discipleship/Recovery Program at The Dream Center in Los Angeles, CA. He serves under the leadership of Pastors; Tommy & Matthew Barnett. While in this position he has been responsible for the recovery thousands of individuals. Part of his responsibilities has included overseeing up to two hundred people on a daily basis. His work in the recovery ministry started back in 1999 when he took a job at the local rescue mission in. Nothing could have prepared him for the passion and fulfillment he has experienced ever since that June day. Even though that was the start of his professional recovery career, it wasn’t until 2007 that he and his wife; Vilma became certified addictions counselors. Michael is currently a Master’s Level – Registered Addiction Specialist in the state of California. He also has an Associates degree in Practical Ministries as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Addiction Studies with a Biblical emphasis. He has been a licensed minister since 1980 and has held various positions in ministry; Youth Pastor, Singles Pastor, Associate Pastor, and Sr. Pastor. He was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has been married to his wife Vilma since 2004. He has a grown daughter, two grandsons, and two dogs. Michael is an established speaker, teacher, mentor, coach, and author. I am close to addicts in my line of work and in my family. Many things I did not understand. However, I see things much clearer now and how important my relationship with Christ can help me help!
