By Amanda Chappell I've already gone through this twice, along with my sock monkey troop, who have been so excited since they first heard of the book (see pic). I first read the Zombies Hate Stuff book and have re-read that over and over but as a fan of sock monkeys this was a must.The drawings are beautiful and full of whimsy (I want prints!), and I love the fears a sock monkey must genuinely have (washing lines, red socks, beaches...) with the ones I hadn't thought about (paparazzi, pterodactyls, optimism). There's also a section on what sock monkeys really like, which I think adds more depth to the public perception of the sock monkey (with such examples as:kilts, interpretive dance and Progress). The book wraps up nicely with Sock Monkeys have Major Issues with... but you should buy it to read those (it gets pretty dark).A wonderful fitting and much needed addition to the sock monkey literature genre.

Schmidt The UPS truck hadn't pulled away from the curb before I was sitting down to page through this latest book of Greg Stones art. Was really looking forward to it -- and was not disappointed. I laughed, I giggled, I chuckled. I awwwww'ed. And I guffawed a couple of times, too. Sock Monkeys is charming and clever and just might be my favorite. (Buy at least 2. You're going to want to share.)

My boss is obsessed with sock monkey's and I bought this on a total whim. She was crying from laughing so hard. SO BEYOND fantastic. Funny for anyone who like sock monkey's or just super wry ridiculously awesome humor. I LOVED IT.
