I realllly like this book, but most of it was about sex, nothing personal between the two of them. I would have liked to see the development of the relationship further into their future. That is the ONLY reason I am giving this book 4 stars. I read one of the 1 star reviews and the person was bashing the book bc the H purchased the h as a slave, all tho he never raped her and offered her a chance to return home. I mean really... did you go into this book thinking it was going to be all hearts and flowers????? Now.....I LOVE a good dark erotic romance novel, but you people that have been giving these AMAZING books bad reviews just because they are dark are really P¡AS!ng me off!!!! You know it's going to be dark going into the book!!!! I always read the 1 & 2 star reviews before I start a book just so I know what I'm getting into, and almost all of the books that are somewhat dark ppl are leaving crappy reviews! I completely understand everyone has a right to their own opinion, but I hate to see some d@mn good books getting such bad reviews because you didn't read the narrative and get an idea of what you are buying. I am sorry if my ranting offended some of you, but just like you, I have a right to my own opinion. Thank you!

This book is fiction and contains material readers may find offensive. There is very disturbing content, graphic sex, violence, and strong language, but does end with a HEA.**With that being said, here is my review. I had not read anything on this one but I offered to read and review it. This is a very dark story that starts with Ruby being kidnapped and learning that she will be sold as a sex slave. Not knowing how long she has been held captive, there is a auction for her and other girls. The price goes up or down depending on the merchandise. If she is young, a virgin, nice body, etc the price is higher. And it figures that Ruby is excellent merchandise, she is young (fresh out of high school), a virgin (certified by the kidnappers doctor), nice figure and she has a fighting spirit. When she is sold, she is terrified of the man that bought her. Gavin is a sadist, he gets off on inflicting pain that is all about pleasure. When Ruby tries to fight him, he punishes her. When she runs away, but not getting far, he punishes her again and takes her virginity. All the while her body is loving it all. She must be sick like him. Can Gavin show her that what he offers, is what she really wants? Will Ruby continue fight him and keep trying to run? This is a first for me by Jenika Snow and I loved it. looking forward to reading more from her.**Wicked Reads Review Team**

Two people that get off or should I say need Pain mixed with Pleasure in there sexual pleasures. If you don't like ruff, pleasure brought on by pain then this is your type of story. But let me.say there is not blood or cutting as some get off on that. You find two.people that come from different types of life but needing the same thing to be sedate in their life and in sex. I did like this story it brings two people together and one thing they don't realize is they need each other and crave the touch and pleasure each gives and even find meaning in life with each other.
