The protagonist is a woman of a certain age (close to mine) who is at a crossroads in her life. She's funny and smart and deeply in love with her husband. She sets out to help her aged aunt and goes on a most unexpected adventure. The characters are fully developed and multi-layered. The writing is witty and smart and the story is expertly crafted. It's an all around great read. . I can't wait to find out what our heroine gets into next.

Without giving away any spoilers, the story is based upon an historic event (one that brings out conspiracy theorists on a regular basis) and the author meshes the known reality of the events with her fictional story quite well. Although I've never been to the area where the real even occurred, the author really sucks you in and makes you feel like you were there. Really enjoyed the characters Deena and her husband Gary and the strong supportive marriage they had.
