2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. Can't wait for the Third Book!!! By Crazi Momma Reads “Seems Like Old Crimes” Book 2 in Chase Charley Mystery, was a great and fun read. Rose never disappoints when it comes to a fun read. Her characters always have the best quirks. Her men have you fanning yourself.Marc and Dangerfield have both stolen my breath, and I can’t wait to see who Chase lands on.As Mysteries go, I had part of the mystery figured out when when certain parts came about. Some characters I had to clear their names towards the end. What can I say I find everyone guilty when murder is involved.The other mystery within this book, I just hadn’t put that all together. So it’s was a very nice surprise that I hadn’t figured it all out.For Now I will be waiting for the Next Chase Charley Mystery Case.I recommend this Book to anyone who has read the First book. If you haven’t yet, Get on that. They are a great reason to stay up past your bedtime.

Her books are fun, her characters are charming, and her stories are good. The Chase Charley series is no different. I anxiously awaited Seems Like Old Crimes, gobbled it up like cotton candy, and like a petulant two year old, am already screaming for more! I love that Ms. Pressey expanded the scope of the main characters, having them travel a bit and give us a view of the world around them. I also love the romantic triangle they have going on - it is like a sweet love story from the '50s - all the romance with none of the smut. You can tell the desire is there, but it is nice to find characters who actually have, well, character. I would whole-hardheartedly recommend this book to anyone who loves light cozy mysteries.
