Lydia Hess first picked up a pencil as a child and has been drawing, designing, and making art ever since. Her illustrations have been widely published and collected. Lydia lives in Portland, Oregon, with her husband, photographer Robbie McClaran, and their two daughters.

Upon opening all i needed to see was one single page before i swiftly snatched it up and put it in my cart. It really does speak to the soul! The artwork is not too small that you can't use a variety of coloring utensils, but also not big enough to look childish and the art is really.... art! Gorgeous!

I have seen many coloring books around lately, but these (Yes, I bought both!) are truly exquisite. Hess is an artist and this is what makes these books stand apart from the rest.

I have always enjoyed symbols and this book contains a variety. Unusual and very interesting coloring book. The cover is very nice paper and has a nice texture that you can feel that somehow adds to the beauty of the book overall. I don't feel that any of it represents witchcraft or anything dark at all.
