8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Revealing Story By Jeff C. I was given this book by a friend to read since I have some experience with the content. It became apparent to me throughout the novel that Mr. McShane has some inside knowledge and experience on the subject. As I read it, it was obvious this author didn't just do some research on the subject, but has some first hand knowledge. Realizing this, I couldn't stop reading to see much he was going to reveal. At times, I had to remind myself this is not a true story.....or is it? For his first book, Mr. McShane exceeded my expectations. This is an easy and intriguing read. He is a great story teller.

By SH I finished reading this book, as rival motorcycle clubs engaged in a gun war in Waco, Texas. That incident certainly brought credibility to McShane's book. The book focuses on the 1% of a Texas MC. It includes violence, explicit sex, and very rough language as it reveals the inside life of Los Patrons. This group will easily kill to protect their own members and/or property-women included in the "property" group. However, amidst the lifestyle, McShane weaves a story that is realistic by developing his characters and plot. There are several surprises along the way (most especially the ending) that kept my curiosity peaked. I read the book in 2 days. The author actually made these guys human, primarily through their intense commitment to family. While I couldn't personally relate to the characters, McShane did an impressive job of allowing me to view them through their own eyes. So, even with the violence and language, I enjoyed the book and am wondering what the future holds for Jake. Wanting more is always a sign that the author has grabbed his audience and this author certainly has!

If the Author had not put that in his bio I would not have believed this to be his first book. I.N.C.R.E.D.I.B.L.E!!!This is an in-depth look at the brotherhood, the author has captured the MC life so accurately this story is intense and brutal, and he gives us a highly charged story. I could not put this book down it’s a page turner and I kept turning the pages until there were no more to go. The story of Jack and how he meets Diego and gets pulled into the life and never let’s go. The story flows so smoothly you feel like your right thereIn the story alongside of Jack in his journey to being a brother, and at what costs get you there. This is a story of brotherhood with a side of romance. You learn the true meaning of LL&R of an MC brotherhood. I look forward to the next book from the Author, as he can tell a story.
