8 of 8 people found the following review helpful. Another Hour to Kill By L. Christensen This is the second of the series and the second one I read from this author. I really wish I would have read them in order but nevertheless, it's a great book. Mystery, intrigue, and at the heart of it is the main character who makes you laugh or hold your breath as she gets herself knee deep in something dangerous. Nicely done book.

It is a light and easy to read Christian mystery novel. It's enjoyable in the fact that it has Christian themes (which I enjoy), no foul language or sex, and good triumphs. Although not the best mystery I have read, it is a good quick read.

I didn't have book three and when I found out I had to wait, it took chocolate to make me feel better. Once again, Ms. Higman has constructed a story that takes the reader by the hand and leads them down the quirky/cozy neighborhood that is home to people like Bailey Walker (main character), Magnolia, Dedra, Max (her hot fiance)and a couple of newbies that are more than a bit creepy. It comes as no surprise that the two newbies are not nice guys, but what I found interesting was how Ms. Higman drew me as a reader in immediately with the murder of B.J. Ware. I was hooked from the first word. Premonition. She followed that up with vivid descriptions and excellent use of the senses. I felt like I was the one who had just discovered the body.Needless to say, this is a book I enjoyed. Anita Higman has made my "favorite author" list.
