1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. overly simplistic By Jeff Szuhay If your reading level is below that of a 5-grader or you have never considered bugging out or survival, this is an overly-simple introduction.Otherwise, this is nothing more than a pamphlet with lots of bad grammar and poor organization -- not worth the time.This "book" seems to be little more than a promotion for other, likely equally bad "books"

By Steve At one point the author advises that a person should put moist branches at the top of the fire lay because these will keep the fire burning longer. He is correct in that regard. But, the reason they do so is becaue you must first evaporate the moisture from the wood for them to burn. Evaporating the moisture also robs heat from your fire ... heat that could be better used for cooking food or warming your body. His advice to use eyeglasses to start a fire is suspect as well along with other advice in other sections. Read the book with caution. Some of the advice given is not so good.
