From the Author I hope you like "Murder and Pestle," the second cozy mystery starring food writer Trudi Wells. To research this story, I traveled to Prague (one of my favorite cities in Europe!) and interviewed people who used to work at the English-language newspaper there. (And just like Trudi, I even had a scary experience with a dodgy taxi driver.) I think Trudi might be a bit too demanding about the food in Prague, however: almost everything I ate was delicious. Bon appétit!
About the Author Julie Adler is a journalist covering food and drink who also writes a series of standalone cozy culinary mystery novels about the smart-mouthed food writer Trudi Wells. More than anything else, she loves hearing from readers.

Add to that a delightful recipe at the end, and it is a winner all around. I hope to here more of Trudi's Prague adventures!

In the beginning the book does move a little slowly and it may feel like a predictable story - but it really isn't. The character of Trudi is delightful and I can imagine her in Prague. I also thought that all the research that went into the city of Prague was wonderful. I could hear the trams and smell the river. I will be getting the other books in this series.
3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. Another good read by Ms Adler By legal chef This is a fun and interesting cozy mystery. I enjoyed the second installment in the Trudi Wells series. Trudi is living in Prague and solves another murder and then some. The characters are well developed and interesting. I couldn't put this book down. I highly recommend it if you enjoy fast-paced cozy mysteries with with just the right touch of a love story.
