About the Author Dr. Richard E. Brown graduated from the University of Illinois, College of Medicine, and has practiced plastic surgery for nearly three decades in central Illinois. He has published over fifty articles and chapters in medical literature and one of his cases, a cross hand transfer, drew national attention. He has served on the board of directors of various national organizations and the American Association for Hand Surgery named him Clinician Of The Year in 2003. He also served as a medic on a sheriff's tactical team. Brown was born and raised in southern and central Illinois, the last of nine children. He is married to Colleen, his wife of thirty-four years, and enjoys spending time with his three children and four grandchildren. He is also a hunter and avid golfer.

What could possibly go wrong with that system? Dr. Brown illustrates the slippery slope we now all face because of the ill-conceived federal legislation. Very interesting and thought-provoking.

But wait! We couldn't afford it unless government found a way to eliminate those few patients who require significant costs to stay alive. Simple solution: terminate them. That's what happens in Richard Brown's The Kevorkian Oath. This is a novel you'll enjoy; it has adventure, surprises, intrigue, even romance. Actually, it would make a wonderful movie, right out of today's popular film genres: futuristic, bold, and fascinating.
