Book TWO in the Pericolo Series. I used to be fearful. I used to be admired. I used to be the Femme Fatale. Until I fell. I fell from my status, from the pedestal I had been placed, and I fell in love. And that’s where it all went wrong. I once thrived on one motto – Don’t feel, don’t deviate, kill. Now, I thrive on betrayal, a reminder never to trust my heart, and the need to be Femme Fatale Reloaded. It’s time I got myself back to the place I most belong – a cherished, yearned for secret weapon. However, when a ghost from my past walks into my life again, pledging to be an Abbiati, my life turns upside down all over again. My biggest problem was never the kill, but the thrill of the chase. Apparently, love is the most dangerous game I can ever play, and my life is about to spiral out of control. *** You will need to read Femme Fatale (Pericolo #1) to understand this book! Warning: 18+, due to scenes of graphic murder, sex and a high use of swearing***

Lovely Writing Style By angelofegypt My review: ☆☆☆/ 3 Stars.I was given an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.Again, Kristy-Anne impresses us with a new installment of the crime/thriller series, Pericolo. The continuation of Amelia's story begins at an unexpected spot, not direcyly following the end of the second book. Here, I'd love to talk a little about the good and the bad, weighing each scale.WRITING: Definitely one of the most impressing things in this series was the writer's style in portraying the way her characters acted. Although sometimes a bit of dialogue sounded out of context, other parts were really good and surprising.PLOT: Some of the points in the plot of this book were really strong, but unfortunately, some other were completely ridiculous and unnecessary, such as Lorenzo's sideplot. Personally, I found his character to be very unspecial, rather annoying. I don't understand what Amelia sees in him. Giovanni's character was just unreasonable.MAIN CHARACTERS: I'm not really sure I really like Amelia at this point, since her transformation popped up all of a sudden without further development. She has been through a lot, of course, but we didn't see her character gradually change through the book, which was quite confusing to me.SETTINGS: It has come to me that there was a lack of description of the setting in this book, just like the second book was. I would have loved to see a more detailed description of the family manor and Bruno's house. We also don't see the goods and bads in most of the characters. There are no redeeming qualities, and some of the family members were only there to complete the picture, where they do not belong to the storyline at any point.I still believe the writing of this book was amazing, despite the obstacles that blocked the way to full enjoyment, but I'm still going to give it 3 stars for just that. I'd love to see the third installment of the book and to know what would happen.

We were left on a major cliffhanger in Femme Fatale and I was initially pleased to see that Amelia had survived that night but I won’t say if there were any casualties of that night as the author does a good job in keeping you guessing. However I wasn’t pleased to find the new Amelia who we catch up with living under her Uncle’s watchful eye in Italy and soon learn that this is the worst kind of busman’s holiday for her as her Uncle has the job of reeling Amelia in and as the title suggests restoring her to the Femme Fatale persona. It would seem his training and the method being trained is brutal. And Amelia has grown angrier, distant, and disrespectful, and seems to have shut down emotionally following her breakdown that fateful night in her father’s study. After Amelia is suddenly called back home, without any choice, she is thrown into a further spin to find Zane pledging to become part of The Dio Lavoro and she is expected to help in his initiation. Zane bears the brunt of Amelia’s new frosty personality and does all he can to win back Amelia but it never seems to go to plan. However as a working partnership they are great yet the atmosphere between them seems to have a negative effect on the jobs causing even more problems. And at the same time Amelia is trying to work out where she fits back in with her family as well as trying to work out her feelings for Zane. The tailspin within the family caused by Amelia and her return home comes to a heartbreaking climax for all the family. However this gives them all the final push to stand up to The Dio Lavoro and we are once again left on a slightly less crucial cliffhanger as to how they will fare following their decisions and final confrontations, which I look forward to discovering. This book killed me to read and while reading I honestly thought maybe the story wasn’t good enough or that something was missing but on reflection it was due to the emotions the book evoked for me. I was angry reading it, angry at Amelia for not getting out, angry at Zane for not getting her away, angry at them both for their stupid constant miscommunications, angry at them both for the ridiculous back and forth relationship, angry at her brothers, really angry at her father for putting her into the life and pushing her deeper, so angry at her father for never taking any responsibility, angry at Gio for just being Gio and really angry at him for his actions. Honestly that angry I had to keep putting the book down and come back to it as it was exhausting and my initial review was a little ranting at that but I realize that is all kudos to the author for evoking such emotion in me as a reader.

Femme Fatale Reloaded By FMR Book Grind SAM'S REVIEW:Ok, so, you know when you get a book that makes you grip onto your kindle so hard your hands start to cramp, you don't even want to blink just incase you miss something, something on every page makes you gasp and feel like your heart is trying to exit your body through your throat??? WELL LET ME TELL YOU, Kirsty-Anne Still brought all of those feelings to the table....AND THEN SOME!!After that ASS-GRIPPING CLIFFY from book 1, I was counting down the weeks, days, hours and minutes until I could get my hands on this baby!If K.A.S can write anything, it is suspense! I found myself shouting out loud, I had goosebumps, and I felt genuine terror from certain situations. I also advise reading with a box of Kleenex, because DAMN, I cried really fat ugly tears. Certain scenes hurt my heart so much that I wanted to just scream "WHY??????"! But this book, the characters, the SERIOUSNESS, the storyline, the hatred you will feel for certain characters, it is all so REAL, and it takes over your soul and makes you NEED more! I thought about Amelia and her story for days after finishing and I know, this is one helluva Mafia novel that will stay with me inside my mind for the rest of my days.I am not giving away any spoilers, but I will say that if you read book 1 and FELT it, you need to stop everything you are doing right now, purchase book 2 and let it consume you. It is dark, it is full of suspense, it is twisted, and you'll see just how important FAMILY are in this epic continuation of this series!Kirsty, I have probably told you a billion times just how much I love this series, but lady, seriously YOU KICK SERIOUS ASS!!! I cannot wait for the next book! Also.....DIBS ON ENZO!!
