I don’t know about you but I’m really tired of the warp speed scenario many romance books follow nowadays; the main characters meet on Monday, have hot sex on Tuesday, fall in love on Wednesday and they learn about each other during the remainder of the book. I absolutely love the flow of this book!Jordan is the ultimate tall sexy chocolate (drop yo panties) alpha male who takes no prisoners, which is good because Sage is a strong sista who can hold her own and would never be anyone’s prisoner- so the game is on. If you love a well-developed solid romance plot that has passion and mystery galore this book is definitely for you.

I loved the storyline of the book, I especially loved the characters. I could feel the chemistry between Sage and Jordan at the airport, which was very hot! Jordan tried to resist her, but there was no way that was possible!! However, the editing in the book was horrible, missing words, skipped and double words, which in my opinion takes from the story while reading. However, I laughed out loud several times while reading, therefore I loved the humor. I fully understood that the Khemetic was beliefs not a religion, I was glad the author pointed that out in the book. The friendship between Jordan and Sean was wonderful, and I loved the way Jordan knew how to handle Ray. I did feel the the use of sun god and baby goddess was used a little too much throughout the book, other that those issues I really did enjoy the book. I am ready to start reading book two, and I hope the editing is better.

It is a story of brotherhood, loyalty, and overcoming your past.I was attracted to this book based on reviews that highlighted the evolution of Jordan and Sage's relationship. Because the author takes time to develop their relationship the reader gets to know these characters intimately. However, even though we think we know Jordan, Sage and Sean, the author manages to throw in a few surprises.The author does a very good job of developing the supporting characters, as well. Ray and Sean are key actors in the development of this relationship. You will find yourself just as interested in them as you are in the protagonists.Speaking of the protagonists, Jordan is controlling but Sage's issues were bothersome. Initially I wanted to attribute it to her age, but she has experiences that justify my expectation that she should know better.Reading this book is definitely worth your time. You will be entertained, dismayed, and ultimately happy that there is a second book.
