About the Author Stephanie Laterza's fiction has appeared in Literary Mama, Writing Raw and in Akashic Books' Terrible Twosdays series. Her poetry has been featured in the Newtown Literary Journal, Literary Mama, San Francisco Peace and Hope (awarded the Gold Seal by Artists Embassy International) and Meniscus Magazine. When not writing full time, she works as a contract attorney. She holds a B.A. in English from Fordham College at Lincoln Center and a J.D. from New England Law School in Boston, where her focus was Law and Literature. She lives in New York with her husband and son.

By Tania Ramos “The Boulevard Trial” is completely riveting and artfully crafted for its imagination, detail, and strong female characters that are so real they practically jump off the pages. Stephanie Laterza gives us brilliant writing, history, drama, suspense, humor and family dynamics all packed into one amazing novel. I love, love, love this book! Laterza’s storytelling is thrilling and “The Boulevard Trial” is an absolute TRIUMPH!

It's a good blend of legal thriller, historical fiction. Hoping that this turns into a series around the main female attorney Helena. Highly recommend!

You don't have to know law to read this book and the author brings you right into the characters shoes. IT WAS MUCH MORE than I expected, the storyline was great. The author built up the characters as if you were them and felt their experiences, thoughts, actions, their trial. The details and suspense that went into the book was mind blowing at certain points. Is she guilty or not? The unexpected mouth dropping twist came and the secret was revealed! There is some true history in the book that was built into the story and carried forward into the characters lives. The author packed a lot of detail into the book and gave you unexpected turns and suspense until the very end. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone. FYI: I got this book in perfect timing two days before I left to go away for a few days, didn't think twice and threw in my bag. Long story short the airline messed up my ticketing and I missed my flight and had to stay in the airport overnight. The Boulevard Trial kept me awake the entire night; it was a page turner for sure.
