About the Author My name is Ruth Mason and I’ve become addicted to creating cool, fun and unique books. There, I’ve admitted it and that’s the first step! I create books that children and adults can enjoy together or by themselves. These are fun story books that allow a parent to read to their kids or for their kids to enjoy reading on their own. I was born in Colorado and have lived there all of my life. Fortunately for me, Colorado affords me one of my favorite things … weather. I love how quickly the weather changes and that most days are full of sun. Thunder and lightning storms bring out extreme amounts of energy in me. When it is storming I find myself standing at the door or window jumping up and down shouting “bring it on!!” Sound a little crazy? Well I just might be a little crazy and that’s why I spend hours at my computer creating these fun books. Like many of you I have faced many challenges in my life but I have finally reached a point where I can enjoy myself, my life and my free time. This is where coloring books got their beginning. I began creating mandalas using CAD. I had colored mandalas during my recovery from cancer and a nasty divorce. The mandalas are now in several coloring books along with books containing kaleidoscopes and patterns. I’ve also written a children’s book thanks to my wonderful daughters. This story is one of many I made up and told my girls at bedtime. That book is also available on Kindle. There is a coloring book to go along with the written book. Many more of these bedtime stories will make it to print as I look to pass them along for others to enjoy. I found it to be completely different from what I expected from this Author. It is filled with twists and turns and leaves you wanting to know what happens next. I am looking forward to the sequel as there are certainly unanswered questions, unaccounted for characters and plenty of lead way into the next book. Though I normally would not have picked this type of book, I'm a social worker with an affinity for self-help, I enjoyed it and didn't want it to end.

So I picked up the book with total disregard for the hype and the raving reviews I've already read.Monday morning, I cracked my book, for "sun'in to do" on a train ride to work. I must admit my interest was piqued by a bench on pg 3. And by pg 5, I was unknowingly shaking my head in pity for what a character could not see coming. When another passengers question to me jolted me out of a quickly entered trance, I reluctantly released my skepticism and hopped on for the Ribisi ride.Truthfully, I didn't want to like it, I resisted. And to be honest, I found typos and minor grammar errors. Every time I saw another one, I was rescued from the entrapment of the fast pace, and riveting plot. But when I finished the book in only two days, I wasn't ready. I wished I had taken my time. Two days of Ribisi was too little.I give it a bonafide 4 out of 5 stars- because typos n such REALLY disrupt up the flow of reading for me. Makes me backtrack, just for surety. However, I've already decided that i'm getting more copies, to gift away. Maybe from the next round of publication?? I figure typos might be fixed by then. .In any event, I'm hoping a book signing near me is impending, so I can get my current copy autographed. I'm a fan. I had a feeling it would be as good as "they" say, but I had to imbibe it for myself. Congrats to the author. I look forward to the next one.

I really liked how we learned the back story about the characters. A lot of authors starting out don't take the time to give the readers the back story of how the characters got to be where they are. The story line kept me turning the pages. I would read for 10-15 minutes before going to bed, but when I checked the clock, I would find that I was reading for 30-45 minutes. It's a quick read because the story line is good. I read other reviews that talked about going on a roller coaster, and said, "It can't be that much of a roller coaster", but I was wrong!! You have to pay close attention to what is going on so that when things all come together, you can say, "Oh yeah, I remember that". The end really keeps you wanting more. I'll sit here and patiently wait for the sequel.

By ernest james Very very good..the good guys and the bad guys are both believable and all too human...he demonstrates that how we act or react (good or bad or indifferent) depends to a great extent on our own personal histories especially where we were born. The atmosphere he draws, without any superfluous florid descriptive language is very tangible ( I too have experienced many a monsoon, and trekked in the desert, but have never been able to formulate my impressions as well). His description of the Middle East political/religious/battle scene rang all too true, and they have even led me to look differently at the immigrant boys who come from the Middle East (with more compassion, perhaps and not just with distaste at their often times atrocious behavior--what terrible memories they must have brought with them and how trapped they are by their past and by their heritage) I see here in the "ghettos" in Denmark. Finally you get to realize that far too many adventure/espionage/thrillers' sensibilities are formed by the "great Game" between East and West here in Europe and that it's an entirely different ball-game in the Middle East with totally different rules, and a much more cruel immediacy, thoroughly driven by historical and religious tropes: It’s not a game for well educated conniving spymasters from the upper classes in England or the USAWell worth reading and compares even well with some of the best stuff coming from former Israeli agents.

Be prepared to find historical and geographical accuracy that back up the authenticity of the main plot. (I even googled the "Castle. At Home" because the description was so real - the book is right on.) Additionally, expect to have your own mental argument with the author regarding his political insights and opinions about the Middle East. But whether you agree with him or not. Adam's take on the region demonstrates immense knowledge of the area, including the Arabic and Farsi languages, that give his story a striking amount of depth and realism. I look forward to the next Ambrose Hayes adventure from this refreshing new author.

Adams seems to be an excellent writer with his development of the plot, the action and the characters. I will definitely read more of his books. With that said, PLEASE have someone do a better job of proof reading and editing the Kindle version! There were enough typos that they became a distraction from what was otherwise just plain excellent (and cause for one less star).

By Coach D I felt this book was a BIG letdown from the previous two in the series: Ghost of Winter PROLOGUE (Modern Warfare Series 1 SAS Black Ops Part 1) : Collectors Edition & Ghost of Winter INCEPTION (Modern Warfare Series 1 SAS Black Ops Part 2). Those books were full of non-stop action and it was a special ops deluxe.For well over 50% into Incursion not much happened at all. A lot of talking and behind the scenes wheeling and dealing. And for us to believe Dutch and Anna would ever leave their troops was asking a bit much. Yeah there was action in the 2nd half but still too much back-plot. I think the author lost focus. If this was the first "Ghost" book, then I would not have continued on. Whereas the Ghost of Winter prologue got me hooked and lead on perfectly to Inception. Could have done without this 3rd book. 3 stars is being generous, probably more like 2.5.

While winners have been touched upon from various walks of life there is more emphasis on sporting winners. However there is enough material to understand the mindsets of other winners from politics, fashion and the like.I was initially under the impression that this book was outlined in the form of interviews with the people mentioned on the cover. However the author has woven his discussions based on interviews and other available information on these personalities around themes eg mind-sets, strategy, resilience etc which I thought was a better approach as it could get boring for readers who did not identify with these personalities. There are a few personalities/teams to whom chapters have been devoted such as F1 team, Anna Wintour, The Queen, Australia, Modi . All Good.Good for a one time read.

Saw Winners Book Featured In A Free Local Area Newspaper By Stella Carrier Winners And How They Succeed by Alastair Campbell is a book written by a former press secretary of Tony Blair and is listed to have been an official spokesman and director of communications from 1994 to 2003 (listed to also be a Cambridge University graduate). There are quotes pertaining to the subject areas in the chapter and are credited to the authors making said statements; Wayne Gretzky, Henry Ford, Arianna Huffington, Bill Clinton, Nelson Mandela, Benjamin Franklin,Michael Jordan, Harry Trumanand more quotes from other prominent people. They also don't say what format, nor do they say they were given the book for an honest review. Looking further, I saw another book by the same publisher. It also had all the same reviewers giving it 5 star reviews too. Something seems a little fishy.

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. difficult in the beginning By Amazon Customer I almost stopped reading after the first chapter because this author gets carried away with elaborate descriptions. (Think "Call of the Wild" by Jack London ) . However when the dialog between characters began it pulled me into the story. This turned out to be a classic detective novel that was quite good. I enjoyed the banter between the seasoned detective and the young upstart he is paired with. If you can get past the first couple chapters you will enjoy this book.

I found the writing to be poetic - which totally appealed to me. The story was less important to me than the poetic writing and deep philosophical pondering. And I totally enjoyed the character development of the two detectives. Again, a great read!!!!!!!!!

The quick version of a book that stomps out fear and releases creativity By Karise and James Dolan Big Magic, Key Take aways, Analysis and Review is a fantastic way to learn from the book, in a shorter amount of time. I love to read books that motivate me, and teach me, but as a busy mom I don't always have a large amount of time. I Love that this book allowed for me to learn, be encouraged and motivated in the smaller amount of time that I had. This book talked alot about fear blocking creativity. This really gave me freedom to be creative. I normally wouldn't have had the time to read a longer book, but I am so thankful that this Analysis exists. There were 9 Key takeaways. You get the Main points of the books. The areas you can apply to your life. I still was able to get the important parts of the book, in short, quick chapters. Then you learn about the author. It gives you a good idea where the author is coming from. This helps you to get an even better, deeper understanding of the book. Lastly, you get the authors perspective. By OceanWave This is a detailed summary of what is a much longer book, but I finished this feeling a bit inspired. There are key takeaway points, quotes and an analysis that struck a few chords with me and really sparked my interest. Many of these quotes are honest, and comical in their honesty. This short book gives a few ideas on how to be more creative and stop letting things stand in the way. These tips can be applied to everyday life, I think I would be interested in reading the whole self help book when I have a little more free time on my hands. I received this ebook in return for my unbiased opinion.

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. An unusual ghost story By Vivian Childs I thoroughly enjoyed Brownstone Burial, the latest novel by author Pat Gulley. Gulley has obviously worked in the airline/travel industry, as demonstrated by her thorough knowledge of an airline res agent's job and life. The details she includes of a young woman's first job in the Big City, especially when that first job took place in the 1960's, are interesting enough for a novel on their own merit. Throw in a mystery, significant historical setting, and some ghosts and I found it hard to put the book down, even when I had to do other things! A recommended read!

Killer getaway By Clare O'Beara Escaping the wintry weather and an empty store, a little group of friends heads down to south Florida, taking the dog. They've got a fancy house and intend to make merry. And they do - food, drink, shop, designer goods. One of them is divorcing and another wryly comments that with the hourly cost of legal fees it would be wiser not to fight over the cashmere socks. A friend's restaurant is being renovated, expensively, but otherwise the main cause for concern is that a car nearly runs two of the ladies over in the street - could be an accident even if the driver didn't stop.However matters escalate with a plate of bad clams and a sabotaged air conditioning unit. Something is certainly amiss and the crew decide to investigate. Before too long they're even obliged to do the prep and serving in the restaurant.Every few paragraphs we find more food, drink or designer clothing; brand names are continually splashed around for everything from underwear to indigestion remedy to jewellery and handbags. All this makes it hard to get to know the ladies and men on any but a superficial level. I gather there was a previous escapade which set up some of the relationships and if you've read that one you may enjoy this book more. The sentences filled with capitalised words came across as off-putting to me, stopping me getting into the action, but if you obsessively collect brand names you'll be fine. This read is certainly lively.

Don't know it could be just the high life of spending lots of money and drinking so much.Kristin Clark lives and work in Bryn Mawr, PA. It is a snowy winter, and business is slow. So when Kristin gets phone call from her friends that decide to go to Palm Beach, FL asking her to join them. She can stay in a guest house and where some of her friends designer clothes too.Kristin, her dog Waffle and Bootsie who is a society reporter head to join her friends.Holly is a heiress who spends like crazy. Sophie is getting a divorce from her mobster husband.Holly and Sophie have just bought into a restraint Vicino. Someone tried to kill Holly and Jessica just two nights before Kristin arrives in FL.There a lot of characters that live in Bryn Mawr that have gone down to Fl for the winter.Killer Getaway is the second book in the Killer Wasps Mysteries series. Maybe if I had read the first book I could connect to the characters more.I was given this ebook by author and agreed to give Killer Getaway and be part of it's blog tour.

Colbert This is the second in the Killer WASPS crime series, but you don't need to have read that to enjoy this one.I really enjoyed being in the company of Kristin and her quirky friends again, and this time she's very luckily been whisked away to stay in heiress Holly's rented villa in South Florida. Once again, there is a mystery or two to be solved while she's there.Someone tries to run down Holly and Jessica, the manager of the new and trendy Vicino's restaurant, where it appears that someone also wants the restaurant out of business by trying to poison one of the areas's most influential diners and sabotage the air-conditioning.Luckily, Jessica's friends Kirsty and Bootsie, in between eating, drinking and shopping decide to do a little sleuthing.There were shady dealings, double dealings, lots of Gucci, Hermes, Valentino being worn, together with lies and deceit all neatly wrapped up in this mystery which I loved!

Fabyan Rothaker is a great sequel to Everett and follows Brooke into the ultra competitive and stressful world of a first-year med student. While we can't all identify with the medical terminology, the author does a great job telling the story of how goals and ambitions can cause irrational thoughts and actions to be Brooke's guide. Passing thoughts, which we have all had, like "this would be so much easier if he/she wasn't here," lead us through jaw-dropping behavior right up to Rothaker's conclusion.If you want a read that isn't predictable or easy to put down, this is the book for you.Rothaker is enthralling and I would recommend it to readers who like suspense and are fans of mysteries. Enjoy!

Brooke, the main character, is as devious, meticulous and motivated as she was in the first book. I did find this book a little more predictable than the first. And, I was surprised by Brooke's relationship with Xander. It was hard to tell if she liked him or if he was a "means to an end." I would have liked more depth there. I also thought it ended rather abruptly. I guess I'll have to wait for the next book!But, like the first, it kept me turning the pages to see what would happen next.

Jenifer Ruff's Rothaker is even more compelling, suspenseful and thought provoking than it's highly enjoyable predecessor, Everett. Brooke has matured and started medical school at Rothaker with increased confidence and a heightened awareness of her 'uniqueness'. As a nice, unexpected addition, Ruff seamlessly and intellectually addresses current issues throughout her story lines such as medical school costs, free needle programs for drug users and PTSD. There are new endearing characters and the inclusion of a few from undergrad. Ruff expertly introduces new classmates and colleagues so that the reader truly feels that they know them and in particular, worry about their new acquaintances. As in the first book of the series, just as one thinks Brooke's next move is predictable, Ruff surprises her audience. Rothaker pulls in the reader until the very end and leaves one wanting for more. I, for one, am anxiously awaiting book 3!

About the Author Daniel Bar-Tal is the Branco Weiss Professor of Research in Child Development and Education at Tel-Aviv University. His primary research interests are political and social psychology, particularly the socio-psychological foundations of intractable conflicts and peace building. Professor Bar-Tal is the recipient of a number of major awards, including the Otto Klineberg Intercultural and International Relations Prize of SPSSI, the Golestan Fellowship at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study in the Humanities and Social Sciences, the Peace Scholar Award of the Peace and Justice Studies Association and the 2011 Lasswell Award and 2012 Nevitt Sanford Award of the International Society of Political Psychology. He has published widely in the areas of conflict and peace studies. His 2005 book Stereotypes and Prejudice in Conflict, co-authored with Yona Teichman, received the Alexander George Award from the International Society of Political Psychology.

Beautiful concept and beautiful cover art By Robbi The cover art is quite beautiful but it doesn't necessarily represent the inside pages, in my opinion. I like the affirmations being so large as to be present the entire time you are coloring the image. The pages mostly consist of one dragonfly in various forms from cartoony to elegant along with another image on the same page. Most of the page is plain background, so I would probably suggest shading it in some way to bring the words, the dragonfly and the additional image into some sort of connection. I love the idea and intent of this book, that is my reason for 4 stars. If there had been a pattern of some sort or a background to connect the images it would be 5 stars.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Mystery, Romance with a touch of Occult By Cynthia Ann Smith I have read almost all of the Second Son books and really enjoyed them. Pru and Knighton make a lovely couple. His logic and drive to discover the truth and her level-headedness mixed with kindness and compassion make them a good match. I enjoyed the characters in the other Second Son books also but Pru and Knighton were my favorite. I would like to know what happened to some of the peripheral characters though such as Pru"s cousin and Knighton's brother.sometimes I felt like I was left hanging with a lot of unanswered questions so I guess I would really give the series a four and a half but I wouldn't want anyone to miss out on a really enjoyable read over half a point.

0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. Great series of books By Victoria E. Davis What a fun set of books! I loved both the H and h and want to spend even more with them. The novels had interesting characters, plots (!), complicated mysteries and lots of humor. There were quite a few editorial mistakes, but I've found that if I'm enjoying the book enough it doesn't bother me so much. And I really enjoyed these books.The added novella was so-so, it had nice atmosphere but the character's actions didn't make any sense.
